SVBONY SV106 Guide Scope with Helical Focuser Finder and Guide S

SVBONY SV106 Guide Scope with Helical Focuser Finder and Guide S:buyers who shop here marketplace and its localized counterparts, enjoy a highly personalized experience with an unparalleled selection at great value. I needed a new finder scope for my Celestron Evolution 8 to which I could attach an eyepiece camera and view remotely. This scope was perfect, and the price point is hard to beat. But, it came with literally no documentation. It took me a while to figure out how to attach the alignment rings to the dovetail base. The holes in the base are treaded, but are too large for the provided screws. This threw me off until I realized the screws are supposed to go in through the bottom of the base and screw into the rings. There's also no documentation or guidance on how to focus or align the scope with the OTA, but you should be able to figure this out on your own via trial and error. The alignment screws, in my experience, need to be super tight. I was able to align the scope by:1. Inserting an eyepiece webcam and fiddling with the focus until I got a clear picture in the webcam software.2. Point the OTA to a distant object and center in the OTA eyepiece. I used Jupiter as my centering object.3. By line of sight, try to align the scope the best you can by adjusting the ring set screws until you get some sort of image in your webcam software.4. Now, the trick is to focus, center and stabilize the object you are viewing in the software. This is done by tightening down on the screws. The screws have a nylon tip and will give even if you think they are tight. Keep twisting until the view is centered - even if you think the screws are tight enough.I'm sure there are other ways to approach centering the scope, but this is what worked for me.I would have given the scope 5 stars, but the lack of documentation knocked it down to 4.los angeles mall, max 75% off, dallas mallSVBONY SV106 Guide Scope with Helical Focuser Finder and Guide S

Our story

How we got our start?
We are SVBONY, a young and passionate team of astronomy and sports optics products. We start from 2014, and our team are working for Ramp;D practical optical products for people who want to get involved in nature and space exploration.
What makes our product unique?
Behind the SVBONY products, there is a team in which everyone is creative, collaborative and responsible. We've made a niche category, the reason is that we want people to see more realistic images in the original way, instead of just upgrading the camera on the phone.
Why we love what we do?
We do think optics products are practical and educational, which connects people to the world, not just for a small part of person, but for everyone. SVBONY leads us to a more beautiful world which we usually can’t see, and we want to bring this beauty to everyone, that's why we are here.
